Scripps Ranch vs Mira Mesa

JV came on strong to win the JV Dual before Varsity.

Individual League Titles

 Several individual League titles were on the line for Mira Mesa - Carldee Soriano and Wilson Lu both came through with wins to remain undefeated in League and claim the individual title. 

Bragging Rights

League was decided earlier in the day between Morse and Patrick Henry. 
But always a thrilling wrestling rivalry, the Scripps Ranch-Mira Mesa Dual this
year was no exception. It came down to the last match. 

The two evenly matched teams battled it out throughout the lineup. The score was 37-33 Mira Mesa going in with Senior Dex Carranza at 145's. The draw at the beginning of the dual started the matches at 152's.

A tech (5 points) or a pin (6 points), Scripps wins, a 4 point major and we tie,
Dex went on the offensive from the start, getting the pin to seal the win, 43-33.

Bragging rights to Mira Mesa for 2009.
